  14. Just got the May LWPro.  Would like to thank John Gross and Philip Rice 
  15. for their excellent coverage of the possible combinations of machines etc.  I 
  16. would like to point out two things though:

  18. 1) There is a misplaced comma on the time for the Amiga 3000 under the 
  19. ZbufSort.lws scene.  I'm pretty sure this is why the graph shows an erroneous 
  20. length for this test.

  22. 2) After all the discussion about what is and is not a good test scene, the 
  23. results for all of the scenes tend to bunch up on all but the fastest 21164 
  24. based Alphas.  Additionally, the Texture examples scene seems to be somewhere 
  25. in the middle of all the "bunches".  This is pretty amazing considering that 
  26. these scenes were specifically designed to stress certain different aspects of 
  27. rendering.

  29. I am assuming that these scenes and configurations were such that no virtual 
  30. memory was used while rendering.  Is this correct?
  31.  
  32. Finally, I guess I'm gonna have to dig up data on how much the cheapest Alphas 
  33. cost.  I think I need one, or two . . .
